Free Fundamental Skills Clinics

This spring, Sandy Plains Softball Association is bringing back the FREE Fundamental skills clinics.  Jack Cullen, SPSA’s Coach-Player Development board member and GA Fire 96 Cullen head coach (www.gafire96cullen.com), runs the clinics.  The clinics focus on teaching foundations of good fundamental softball.  We teach and reinforce the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and pitching.  Players are separated into groups based on age and ability.  Skills are quickly taught and players are given many repetitions to reinforce the skill.

Preseason clinics are scheduled for February 13th, 15th, 20th, and 22nd at Sandy Plains Park, Field 1, 6-8pm.  The preseason clinics are a great opportunity for players to prepare for the spring season evaluations.  The pitching portion of each clinic will be from 7:30 – 8:00pm each night, (please bring your own catcher). Consult the website for the in-season schedule.  Coaches are welcome to bring their entire teams.

We need help in running the stations.  If you can catch, throw and/or supervise we need you.  We ask that parents and coaches bring their gloves.  Experience is not necessary, as we will train you.  Email questions to Jack Cullen at: cpdev@sandyplainssoftball.com
