Congrats to the Fire 2000 on a hard fought Runner Up finish at the GSA School Is Out tournament on June 5th. Went up against some tough young teams in the Gold/Silver division and played until the end. Good Job Girls!

10U All-Stars "Red Devils"

The 2010 10U Sandy Plains "Red Devils" All-Stars had a great first outing at the GSA USA Tournament on May 29th and were runners-up to the title. It was the team's FIRST tournament and they played very strong throughout. It was a long day for the girls, starting with an 8:00am pool game, and wrapping up at 11:00pm in the championship game. Hopefully this will be the first of many brags for this great bunch of players!

Congrats to the girls on the SPSA Fire 12U B (Milam) team on being runners up at the GSA Show Your Stuff Tournament in Carrollton Georgia on May 22nd! The girls worked their way out of the losers bracket into the Championship game. Great job done by all!

"I Feel The Heat" Champions! March 27th: The girls fought their way to the championship game and won it with a 2 out 2 strike bases loades hit to right field by Abby! Great Game, Great Day, Great Job Girls!

Sandy Plains Fire 12U (Kristufek) won the GSA Tournament at Sweetwater Park on May 1st 2010. They went 5–0 with Amanda Dennis pitching the Championship Game!!! Good, strong team effort!!! Way to go!

CoChampions of the GSA Lets Play Ball Tournament on March 6th 2010. The journey started at the Publix by Sandy Plains at 7:15 AM and ended in a draw at 11:50PM after extra innings with temperatures in the 30s. Great Job in your first 10U B tournament girls!

Stingers 8u Travel "B" Team!

This past May the tryouts for the 8U travel roster had over 25 participants. As
a result several parents suggested the formation of a second team to compete
during the summer. At that time the 8U Sandy Plains Stingers (B-team) was
formed to compete during the travel season. They competed against all types of
competition from travel only teams to other parks top teams. The girls competed
in 6 tournaments and played a total of 22 games finishing the season with a
record of 6-16. While the results may not seem impressive, these girls competed
week in and week out against the top competition in Cobb County. They beat
several parks "A" teams along the way. What was most important was that these
girls had their first taste of competition in a travel setting and played as
many as 5 games on a given Saturday. Many skills were improved and a special
bond was formed among these girls. The Stingers had a most successful season.
